My Approach
My primary focus is the treatment of OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard, evidence-based approach that has helped countless children, teens, and adults break free from the OCD cycle. I also warmly welcome individuals experiencing other anxiety-related conditions, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and specific phobias. Whatever brings you or your child to therapy, I take the time to truly understand your unique situation and carefully tailor treatment to your specific needs, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches. When working with younger clients, I often incorporate family-based interventions such as Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and Parent Management Training (PMT) to support lasting progress at home and in daily life.
What To Expect
We'll start with one to two initial sessions where I take the time to get to know you or your child, what's been going on, how long it has been a challenge, how it's affecting daily life, and what your goals for treatment are. From there, I develop a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to your situation. Throughout our work together, I may ask you to complete brief symptom surveys from time to time, which help us both track progress and make sure we're heading in the right direction. Most clients working on OCD, anxiety, or related challenges see meaningful progress within 16 to 25 sessions, though everyone moves at their own pace and we will always adjust as needed.
